Embed slideshow and YouTube video in iGoogle

iGoogle (formerly Google Personalized Homepage and Google IG), a service of Google, is a customizable AJAX-based startpage much like Netvibes, Pageflakes, My Yahoo! and Windows Live Personalized Experience. It was originally launched in May 2005. Its features include the capability to add web feeds and Google Gadgets (similar to those available on Google Desktop). It was renamed and expanded on April 30, 2007 and is currently available in many localized versions of Google (42 languages, over 70 country domain names, as of October 17, 2007).

Before you embed the slideshow in iGoogle, you need to upload the slideshow to go2ablum. You need to sign up an account of go2ablum at first, it’s free. Please visit http://www.go2album.com.

When you publish the slideshow, please select Create flash files and upload to go2ablum. After you uploaded the slideshow successfully, you will be led to the slideshow page automatically. In the opened page, copy the the embed code of the slideshow.

If you want to embed a YouTube video, just do it in the same way.

Then open Vodpod website and sign in your account and click paste embed code and paste the copied code.

Click Preview button and vodpod dialog will pop up. Click the third tab and choose iGoogle. Enter the title. Before you click Post button to embed slideshow on iGoogle, you need to log in on iGoogle first. Click Post button and in the opened page add the slideshow to iGoogle.

After post, the slideshow will be embedded on your iGoogle homepage. You can drag-and-drop the each tab to adjust the layout in your iGoogle page.
